Position Summary: The Student Support Coordinator for the College of Health Sciences serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students in select current and future graduate programs, with primary responsibility for the Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences (MABS) and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) programs, and limited support for the Physician Assistant (PA) program.

The Student Support Coordinator manages the admissions workflow from initial inquiry through enrollment. This position supports prospective and current students by coordinating outreach, processing applications, maintaining applicant communication, and assisting with course registration. The coordinator ensures a high level of customer service and professionalism throughout the admissions and onboarding process. Responsibilities include verifying application completeness, communicating with applicants, coordinating with academic programs during the review process, and assisting admitted students with registration and onboarding.

In addition, this position provides administrative support to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and the Graduate Dean. The role also supports undergraduate and graduate academic operations, including assistance with registration processes, advising coordination, and student appeals.

This is an entry level professional position that reports to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and does not include supervisory responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment \& Outreach

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students interested in College of Health Sciences graduate programs, with emphasis on the Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences (MABS) and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) programs
  • Respond to prospective student inquiries via email, phone, and other communication platforms in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective applicants to encourage application completion and enrollment
  • Assist with recruitment initiatives such as virtual information sessions, program webinars, and other outreach activities
  • Represent the College of Health Sciences at recruitment events as assigned
  • Admissions Processing \& Workflow Management

  • Manage the admissions workflow for MABS and DMSc applicants from initial inquiry through enrollment, with limited support for the Physician Assistant (PA) program)
  • Process and verify application materials through Slate and applicable Centralized Application Services (CAS systems)
  • Assist in managing the Slate (CRM) workflow in collaboration with NGU’s CRM Coordinator to support admissions tracking and communication processes
  • Review applications to ensure completeness and readiness for faculty or program review
  • Track applicant status, follow up on missing materials, and provide guidance to applicants throughout the admissions process
  • Coordinate with academic programs and faculty regarding application review and admissions decisions
  • Serve as a liaison between applicants, academic programs, and central university offices including NGU Central, Academic Records, and Financial Aid as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and applicant data in Slate, CAS systems, and Jenzabar
  • Provide logistical support for in person and virtual interview processes for College of Health Sciences programs as assigned
  • Registration \& Enrollment Support

  • Assist admitted students with onboarding and course registration processes
  • Coordinate course registration for newly admitted students in collaboration with academic programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for registration related questions and assist students with enrollment processes
  • Work collaboratively with academic programs and Academic Records to ensure accurate and timely enrollment
  • Student Services \& Administrative Support

  • Provide general support to prospective and admitted students by answering questions and directing them to appropriate university resources and offices when needed
  • Serve as a liaison with the NGU Financial Aid Office, assisting students as they navigate the financial aid process and connecting them with appropriate financial aid resources
  • Assist with academic operations support, including coordination related to advising, registration processes, and student appeals
  • Support the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and the Graduate Dean with administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects as assigned
  • Assist with admissions and enrollment reporting, data tracking, and operational support for undergraduate and graduate programs within the College of Health Sciences
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Visual Abilities: read reports, create presentations, and use a computer system.
  • Hearing: hear well enough to communicate with co\-workers, vendors, and students.
  • Dexterity, grasping, feeling, write, type and use the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
  • Mobility: open files and operate office machines; move between departments, and attend meetings across campus.
  • Talking: frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing: exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
  • Cognitive/Emotional: ability to critically think and concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in conditions 75 to 100% of the time.
  • WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

    This position is a full\-time, non\-exempt position in College of Health Sciences at North Greenville University. The position reports to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle a variety of student issues and concerns.
  • Competency with basic business tools including, word processing, Excel, and data base management.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and problem solve in an environment where frequent interruptions are common.
  • Ability to initiate projects, work independently, multitask, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Must be able to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Affirm an understanding of the Baptist Faith \& Message 2000

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education admissions, student services, or registrar functions.
  • Familiarity with Slate, Jenzabar, and/or centralized application systems (e.g., PostBacCAS or similar).
  • Experience working with graduate or professional programs.
