DVHopeline Program Manager of Advocacy
This is a remote position for WA state residents. Applicants will need a private, quiet space at home from which to provide confidential advocacy services to program contacts and check\-ins with DVHopeline advocates.

The DVHopeline (DVHL) is King County’s 24/7 centralized domestic violence advocacy support line to anyone experiencing domestic or intimate partner violence, as well as concerned friends, family, or community members who are looking for more support. The vision for the DVHopeline is that each contact will advance survivors’ journeys to autonomy, safety, and freedom, and strengthen our communities’ resolve to end gender\-based violence.
SUMMARY: This is a new position for the DVHopeline team. This role supports the advocacy quality assurance of the DVHopeline Swing and Relief shift advocates, and project manages various internal\-only projects.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Advocacy and Data
HOURS: 36 hours per week, remote, 4\-day work week; Sunday\-Wednesday 2pm\-11pm, 9\-hour shifts. There could be a possible variation of 9\-hour day due to business need. This position also shares an on\-call rotation responsibility with another Program Manager of Advocacy to ensure high quality management of 24\-hour support line operations. This is a full\-time exempt position.
COMPENSATION: $82,507\.00, annual salary

- Provides professional development supervision to full\-time and relief advocates, along with supporting 1:1 debriefing on contacts.
- Facilitates and leads monthly shift meetings.
- Ensures adherence to agency policies and DVHL program procedures.
- Coordinates Advocate\-Led meetings to help promote collective spaces around peer support.
- Coordinates with the DVHL Assistant Director of Advocacy and Data to ensure that DVHopeline is fully staffed, including participation in the on\-call process, and that quality services are always provided. On\-call supervisor receives callouts from advocates unable to work, must contact relief advocates for urgent shift coverage needs, troubleshoot systems and tech issues, and case consult support for mandatory reporting. For on\-call needs, advocates typically reached out between the hours of 6am\-11pm.
- Participates and assists with onboarding new DVHopeline Advocates, which will include coordination of training.
- Assists with implementing quality assurance with monitoring calls that advocates are supporting on the DVHL.
- Provides quality assurance and feedback to direct reports for electronic referrals, DVCHAP assessments, and ACP applications, and all other contact engagement records.
- Monitors and interacts with various Teams chats to address technology issues, ensures breaks are adhered to in a timely manner, and greet at arrival and departure of shift.
- Explores additional service needs of contacts and facilitates appropriate referrals to relevant gender\-based violence and other organizations.
- Provides information and support to friends, family, employers, human service and medical professionals seeking to support domestic violence survivors.
- Incorporates survivor\-centered, trauma informed and culturally responsive best practices into supportive services.
- Coordinates interpreter services for DVHopeline contacts, as needed.
- Complete Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) applications, Domestic Violence Coordinated Housing Access Point assessments, and Community Advocacy Program referrals for contacts.
- Consistently enters complete, accurate and appropriate service data into the agency databases.
- Responds to meet data needs identified by the Program and Assistant Directors.
- Tracking and entering direct report’s training log entries into InfoNet monthly.
- Provides program information and stories as needed by Program Director to maintain and pursue funding opportunities.
- Actively contributes to a positive team environment to ensure the collaboration needed for provision of high\-quality services to survivors.
- Actively participates in DVHopeline team meetings, 1:1 supervision, and other activities as required.
- Attends and documents training to ensure compliance with Washington Administrative Code annual training requirements for domestic violence advocates and supervisors.
- Completes administrative or other tasks as requested by the DVHL Program and Assistant Directors, exhibiting flexibility and responsiveness to unanticipated needs.
- Minimum of five years of providing domestic violence and survivor\-centered advocacy and demonstrated knowledge around housing advocacy, gender\-based violence education, legal advocacy, safety planning, and parenting support.
- At least one year of supervisory experience providing trauma\-informed supervision geared toward support and growth is preferred.
- Proven extensive experience navigating community systems and resources in metropolitan Western Washington, especially King and Pierce Counties.
- Proven project management, analytical and problem\-solving skills with the ability to be flexible.
- Proven facilitation and conflict resolution skills and ability to exercise considerable independent judgment and skill.
- Willingness to learn about and promote equity and social justice within and outside of New Beginnings.
- Ability to work individually in a self\-directed manner and as part of a team and promote teamwork among staff.
- Ability to maintain participant confidentiality.
- Ability to use personal supervision constructively for support and growth.
- Willingness to become proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, OneNote, and Word Document.
