Job Summary
ASZ Caring Hearts is seeking a dedicated professional to support our Administrative team/Home Health Aide. This is more than just a job—we are looking for someone ready to take on responsibility in one of the most essential roles within our company and grow with us long\-term.
The Home Health Agency Assistant/HHA works closely with our staff to ensure that all operational needs are met promptly while providing guidance and support to both clients and team members. This role supports the Administrator, who oversees all areas of the company and works directly with clients and staff to maintain high levels of satisfaction while serving as a key liaison within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist Home Health Aides (HHAs) with clock\-ins and clock\-outs through Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) to ensure accurate payroll and billing.
- Schedule interviews and assist the Administrator with onboarding new staff.
- Help identify and address operational or client\-related issues.
- Perform clerical duties including data entry in Excel, Google Workspace (Drive, Spaces), faxing Plans of Care (POCs), digital filing, and follow\-ups.
- Monitor staff credentials and assist with onboarding through EVV software.
- Create and maintain documentation using Google Docs.
- Coordinate meetings and conference calls as needed.
- Answer phone calls and text messages promptly, using strong customer service skills and sound judgment when relaying messages.
- Record and maintain meeting minutes and ensure they are properly archived.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
- Provide field support when necessary, including assisting with HHA coverage during emergencies.
- Community Outreach/Marketing
- Prior experience in home health care or long\-term care environments is highly preferred; experience with nursing homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is required.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is mandatory; additional certifications, such as HIPAA training or APDcares Training, are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and patient records management.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication within a team setting.
- Experience operating EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with home \& community care practices are desirable.

Requirements
* Bilingual proficiency in English, Creole, and Spanish is essential for effective communication with diverse clients and families.
