Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and care
- Support physicians during examinations and procedures, including basic medication administration and wound care
- Prepare patients for various clinical procedures, including X\-ray imaging and minor surgical interventions in outpatient or hospital settings
- Perform basic life support (BLS) to ensure patient safety during emergencies and assist with emergency response protocols in Level I and Level II trauma centers
- Maintain accurate documentation of ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to support billing and medical records management
- Support hospital medicine units such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics, Medical\-Surgical wards, and internal medicine departments by providing exceptional patient service and clinical assistance
- Prior experience working in dermatology clinics, emergency departments, or hospital environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support clinical teams
- Hands\-on experience with EHR systems for documentation, order entry, and patient data management
- Experience performing X\-ray procedures or assisting in OR (Operating Room) environments is a plus
- Familiarity with inpatient care protocols at Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances your ability to thrive in high\-pressure situations
- Previous clinic experience in outpatient settings or specialized units such as Geriatrics or PICU will strengthen your candidacy
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to urgent care or hospital medicine are advantageous
