- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes to maintain precise financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and compliance with company policies.
- Implement and monitor internal controls aligned with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) requirements to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct cash management activities, including forecasting, liquidity analysis, and bank reconciliations to optimize cash flow.
- Prepare regulatory reports, financial reports, and audit documentation for internal use and external agencies.
- Supervise budgeting processes, financial analysis, and forecasting activities to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline operations and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams on technical accounting issues, including non\-profit accounting, governmental accounting, payroll processing, and financial concepts related to double entry bookkeeping.
- Lead month\-end closing procedures, ensuring timely completion of all financial activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in corporate accounting with a strong background in financial management within non\-profit or governmental sectors is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; experience with financial software integration is a plus.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting principles including account reconciliation, debits \& credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into clear reports for stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for writing comprehensive financial reports.
