Adult Individuals \+ Couples Focus \| Champaign\-Urbana / Savoy, IL \| In\-person \+ some telehealth
Champaign Counseling is a small, close\-knit private practice (7 FT / 3 PT, 1 Office Manager) built for sustainable, high\-quality clinical work, not clinic churn. We’re hiring one full\-time therapist who enjoys adult individual therapy and couples work.
Who thrives here
- Clinically enthusiastic: develops clinical interests, pursues training, and brings insights into consultation with colleagues.
- Growth\-minded: willing to stretch clinically (within scope) and pursue training/consultation.
- Accountable \+ solution\-oriented: notices issues early, speaks up directly, and focuses on repair/solutions while also owning their part (when applicable) rather than externalizing responsibility.
- Organized: documentation is timely, scheduling is consistent, and tasks don’t fall through the cracks. If organization is a weak spot, you name it early and ask for support.
- Direct \+ respectful: can have candid conversations without drama, triangulation, intimidation, or “brutal honesty.”
- Full\-time is defined as 1,175 completed client sessions per year.
- To meet that annual minimum, most clinicians maintain availability that supports \~25 sessions/week as a planning baseline (not a weekly quota; seasonality is real).
- Availability requirement (non\-negotiable): either 2 evenings/week (4–8 pm) OR every Saturday with at least 5 sessions.
- We run on stable schedules. We don’t do week\-to\-week scheduling.
- Sessions are in\-person plus some telehealth. Home\-based telehealth requires approval.
- PTO: 80 hours front\-loaded at the start of each year
- Paid Personal Leave: accrues up to 80 hours/year
- Paid Holidays: 6 days/year, paid at 8 hours/day
- Continuing Education: $1,200/year toward the training/CEU of your choice (build your niche)
- Paid professional peer support/consultation
- Fully furnished, clinician\-friendly offices (standing desk options, ergonomic chairs, stocked rooms).
- Admin support and systems that let you focus on therapy (not on logistics).
- Autonomy with support: flexibility to honor your rhythm while staying accountable to role expectations.
- Active Illinois license: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (unrestricted).
- Experience and interest in adult individual therapy and couples work.
- Solid clinical boundaries, ethical practice, and reliable follow\-through.
- Willingness to consult and collaborate with a small team.
- You prefer to avoid appropriate clinical stretch rather than train, consult, and grow.
- You want maximum flexibility with minimal accountability (late notes, shifting schedules weekly, inconsistent follow\-through).
- You dislike structure, boundaries, or caregiver communication.
- Dental insurance
- Flexible schedule
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance
- Referral program
- Retirement plan
- Vision insurance
- Schedule requirement: Full\-time clinicians must work either two evenings/week (4–8 pm) or every Saturday with at least 5 sessions. Can you meet this requirement?
- We’re intentional about not asking for unpaid “tests.” This prompt should take 5–10 minutes and helps us decide who to invite to a Zoom interview.
- Illinois LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (Required)
