Location: South Denver Office
Hours: 32\-40 hours per week
Pay Range: $25 \- $30 per hour
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Industry Experience: Experience in the trucking industry and with IFTA and Sales tax is a plus.
Job Description:
Blayde Industries, a growing trucking and excavation business, is seeking a reliable and detail\-oriented Staff Accountant / Administrative Assistant to join our team in South Denver. This hybrid role focuses on accounting responsibilities while providing administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day\-to\-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
- Reconcile bank transactions and credit card statements in QuickBooks.
- Ensure accurate data entry of invoices and financial documents into QuickBooks.
- Conduct collection calls and process payments via card or ACH.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget tracking.
- Support payroll processing and related documentation.
- Contact credit references and manage vendor relationships.
- Maintain organized financial records, both digital and paper\-based.
- Assist with general office tasks, such as handling emails, phone calls, and filing.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong knowledge of sales tax reporting and compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hybrid In\-office three days a week, two days remotely from home.
