Job Title: Administrative Assistant (AA)

About the Position:
This is a key position during a time of significant growth for ACLC and EWDCS. The AA is responsible for leveraging the Administration Manager’s time and energy to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. He/she will focus on the following: responding to client communications, booking service requests; and managing the day\-to\-day administrative issues impacting on the tutorial and waste disposal services of each respective firm.
Applicants must have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, and be able to work independently and solve problems creatively. This position ultimately reports to the Administration Manager but will also interact with the entire organization.
This is currently a part\-time position but has the potential to become a full\-time position. Most work is done on\-site, but remote work may sometimes be provided.

ACLC, established in 2004, is a one\-to\-one and small group, private tutoring center. We provide tutoring services to students ranging from elementary to adult level, in Mathematics, Reading, and Writing. In addition to tutoring, the company also offers a variety of test prep programs to youth and adults.
EWDCS, established in 2010, is an independently owned and operated waste disposal, portable toilet, and container storage company; servicing businesses, institutions and residences located throughout Massachusetts. Our strategy is to provide our customers with the equipment and management team needed to ensure their waste materials are handled in an environmentally friendly manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with ACLC tutors, parents, students, school faculty and EWDCS customers. Perform work duties: efficiently, promptly, courteously, and accurately.
- Ensure office efficiency by managing calendars, scheduling, correspondence (phone, email, mail), filing, while also handling supplies, basic bookkeeping, and data entry, and supporting staff with projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service, writing and organizational and bookkeeping skills
- Technology savvy (Excel, Google suite, Microsoft suite)
- The ability to multi\-task and to handle multiple customer inquiries and orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people
- End of the year bonus \- after working six (6\) months with the Companies (for employees that work 18 hours per week of more).
