Location: Beverly Hills/Mid\-Wilshire Area and remote
Schedule: 15\-20 hours per week, flexible weekday schedule. Weekly hours may vary slightly based on grant submission and reporting deadlines, with any additional hours requiring prior approval.
Job Summary: The Grants Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of the full lifecycle of institutional grants, including research, proposal development, submission, reporting, and compliance. Working closely with the Program Director \& Clinical Supervisor and Director of Finance \& Operations, this role helps secure and steward grant funding in alignment with The Miracle Project’s programs and priorities. The Grants Manager also supports funder relationships, maintains grant tracking systems, and ensures timely and accurate reporting, while operating within the established fundraising strategy and programmatic framework provided by organizational leadership. All grant submissions and reports are reviewed and approved by executive leadership prior to submission.
This is a primarily remote position with occasional in\-person meetings or events. The employee must be able to travel locally within Los Angeles, including to the Beverly Hills and Mid\-Wilshire areas, on an as\-needed basis.
Roles \& Responsibilities
- Research, draft, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and related funding applications under the guidance of organizational leadership.
- Support management of the full lifecycle of all grants, including research, proposal development, submission, reporting, and compliance, in alignment with program priorities and narrative guidance from organizational leadership.
- Research new funding opportunities, with a focus on organizations supporting autism programs in Los Angeles.
- Serve as liaison with current and prospective grant funders for proposal coordination, reporting, and information gathering, in collaboration with organizational leadership.
- Maintain the annual Grant Tracker and grants calendar, including deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Own accurate and timely entry of all grant data, applications, and reporting information within the organization’s existing grant tracking and management systems.
- Collaborate with the Program Director \& Clinical Supervisor and Director of Finance \& Operations to develop grant narratives, budgets, and reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all grant reports and funder deliverables.
- Monitor grant terms and restrictions to ensure programmatic and financial compliance.
- Maintain organized grant documentation and support internal audits and annual tax filings.
- Work collaboratively with staff and consultants to support organizational funding needs.
- Familiarity with philanthropic funding landscapes in Los Angeles, including private foundations and corporate giving programs.
- Experience with arts, media, education, disability services, mental health, or community\-based nonprofit programming.
- Familiarity with entertainment or media industry philanthropy (e.g., studios, networks, or companies, such as NBC Universal).
- Experience supporting grants within Jewish philanthropic communities or other mission\-driven, values\-based funding networks.
- Two or more years of experience supporting grant writing, grants management, or nonprofit fundraising.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to work from program information and leadership guidance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including tracking deadlines and managing multiple funder requirements.
- Experience maintaining grant calendars, trackers, or CRM systems.
- Ability to manage timelines independently while working in close collaboration with leadership.
- Comfort working with budgets and financial documentation related to grant proposals and reports.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with staff and gathering information needed for proposals and reports.
