Medical Assistant (Full\-Time) — Podiatry Clinic
A busy podiatry clinic in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a full\-time Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front\-office operations. This is a strong opportunity for a Medical Assistant, CNA, or other allied health professional who enjoys fast\-paced patient care, teamwork, and learning new skills.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Clinical Support:
- · Room patients; obtain and document histories, vitals, and relevant clinical information while maintaining confidentiality
- · Assist the provider with in\-office procedures using proper sterile technique
- · Prepare exam and procedure rooms; stock supplies and maintain cleanliness
- · Sterilize instruments (autoclave) and maintain surgical instruments
- · Perform in\-office imaging such as X\-rays as allowed by state requirements and training
- · Order labs and imaging studies as directed by the provider
- · Coordinate daily clinic workflow, including scheduling and task prioritization
- · Support patient check\-in and check\-out and maintain accurate medical records
- · Answer phones and triage messages appropriately
- · Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies
- · Participate in occasional off\-site promotional or community events as needed.
- · 1–2 years experience in a medical or clinical setting (or equivalent training/education)
- · Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care
- · Comfortable with computers and accurate data entry
- · Professional written and verbal communication skills
- · Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
- · Calm, courteous, patient\-focused approach
- · Receptive to coaching and feedback
- · Experience in podiatry
- · Knowledge of ICD\-10
- · Experience with EHR systems (AdvancedMD)

- · $20–$25 per hour depending on experience
