Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in real estate administration, property leasing, and customer service to contribute to the efficient operation of residential communities. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Fair Housing regulations, and property management software. This position emphasizes professionalism, conflict resolution, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards to ensure tenant satisfaction and property performance.
Duties
- Assist in managing day\-to\-day property operations, including leasing, renewals, house showings, coordinating repairs and resident relations
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management.
- Conduct tenant screenings, lease signings, and move\-in/move\-out procedures in accordance with Fair Housing laws and Section 8 guidelines
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and administrative records related to property management activities
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional etiquette and provide excellent customer service
- Support rent collection processes, including upselling amenities or services to enhance resident experience
- Prepare contracts, legal documents, and reports related to landlord\-tenant law compliance
- Manage conflict resolution between tenants or staff while maintaining positive relationships
- Assist in marketing efforts through sales techniques and customer relationship management tools like Buildium.
- Ensure adherence to all legal administrative requirements related to Section 8 housing
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs, Landlord\-Tenant Law, and Fair Housing regulations is essential
- Proficiency with property management software such as Buildium, OneSite, or similar platforms is preferred
- Experience with legal administrative tasks including contracts and lease agreements
- Strong customer service skills with effective phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Background in sales, upselling, or leasing negotiations will be advantageous
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, facilities management (CMMS), and administrative support is beneficial
