Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Office Assistant to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for clients, this role is key to creating a positive client experience and supporting the smooth flow of daily operations. The ideal candidate will enhance the efficiency of our services while contributing to the overall success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

● Support client intake and assist with consultations

● Manage appointment scheduling and maintain office calendars

● Oversee CRM and client portal activity, ensuring information is accurate and up to date

● Maintain organized client files and office records

● Perform general clerical and administrative duties, including data entry, correspondence, and document management

● Coordinate internal meetings and assist with external events as needed

● Participate in off\-site company events (travel compensation provided)

● Perform additional duties as assigned to support office operations

Qualifications and Skills

● High school Diploma or Equivalency; Associate’s Degree preferred

● Minimum of 2 years of clerical experience; knowledge of tax or accounting preferred

● Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

● Technologically savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

● Acute attention to detail and organizational skills

● Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure

Compensation, Schedule, and Working Conditions

Schedule

Onsite, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (60\-minute lunch) or 9:00

AM–5:30 PM (30\-minute lunch)

Compensation

$18–$22, hourly nonexempt

Benefits

Paid time off (including paid holidays and birthday), Health Expense reimbursement, bonuses, free tax prep and financial literacy resources, continuing education reimbursement.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a typical office environment, requires sitting for extended periods of time, and may involve occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
