ShelfMetric prepares sales and inventory reports for independent retailers. We’re hiring a Retail Reporting Assistant to organize incoming files, check data quality, and prepare recurring reports using established templates. You’ll support our Reporting Manager. This position focuses on accurate reporting rather than financial advice, forecasting, or sales. What your week will look like At the start of each reporting cycle, you’ll collect files from approved sources and check that dates, product codes, and store identifiers are complete. You’ll then update reporting templates, investigate inconsistencies, and prepare summaries for manager review. When a source file is missing or unclear, you’ll contact the designated account representative. Your regular tasks include: Checking spreadsheets for duplicate rows, missing values, and inconsistent formats. Comparing totals across source files and prepared reports. Updating standard sales and stock summaries. Recording corrections and maintaining version history. Tracking outstanding data requests. Documenting recurring issues and suggesting improvements to checklists. You won’t be expected to change source records or approve final reports independently. What you’ll need At least one year of experience in reporting support, data administration, inventory records, or a similar role. You should be comfortable with spreadsheet filters, formulas, lookup functions, and pivot tables. Clear written communication and careful attention to numerical details are important. Experience with retail data or reporting software is helpful. A college degree is not required, and training on our templates and procedures is provided.
