Admissions Senior Advisor \- ASAP Recruitment Specialist (HEOa) \- 400099 POSITION DETAILS Founded in 2007, City University of New York (CUNY) Accelerated Study in Academic Programs (ASAP) provides comprehensive personalized supports and resources to students that remove barriers to full\-time study, support academic momentum, and build a connected community. The Kingsborough ASAP program provides participating students with a dedicated Academic Advisor, career development support, tutoring, tuition \& fee gap award, unlimited ride OMNY cards and textbook stipends. Reporting to the ASAP Associate Director of Recruitment and Engagement, the ASAP Recruitment Specialist is responsible for leading the program’s recruitment efforts through recruiting, screening and onboarding prospective students into the ASAP Program. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan and implement recruitment strategies to meet program enrollment goals. Assist in development and facilitation of presentations, information sessions, workshops, and recruitment events. Develop and coordinate student communications during the recruitment cycle Recruit prospective students through phone, email, text, virtual, and in\-person initial and follow up outreach. Support Pre\-admission of applicants through eligibility screenings and advisement on ASAP program requirements and benefits. Assist students through the application, admissions, and onboarding processes. Supervise and train ASAP Student Ambassadors Schedule and conduct one\-on\-one, and group recruitment appointments. Coordinate recruitment activities with Admissions, Enrollment Management, Advisement, Financial Aid, and other campus offices. Develop partnerships with high schools, community organizations, and college access programs. Maintain accurate recruitment records and prepare reports using program databases (CUNYfirst, Slate, Navigate, and Microsoft suite). Monitor recruitment outcomes and recommend strategies to improve enrollment Perform related duties as assigned Some evening and weekend hours and local travel may be required QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and four years' relevant experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree Strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing students from diverse urban backgrounds Experience with recruiting students in higher education settings \& pre\-enrollment advisement Strong organizational, project management, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills Excellent data and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude to learn new systems as needed; CUNYFirst experience preferred Experience using Slate Excellent writing and public speaking skills; strong ability to create effective communication plans for students Commitment to fostering student supportive experiences/environments Detail oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of student information Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, staff, faculty and community members Experience developing and implementing engagement activities supportive of academic and personal development as part of the college experience CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Conducts and coordinates student recruiting and other admissions activities.
