Pride Center Internship Position Description Site Name: Pride Center of Terre Haute Inc. Position Title Program Coordinator Job Summary (2 \- 3 Sentences): The Pride Center of Terre Haute Program Coordinator will assist with all phases of community center programs including development, promotion, implementation, evaluation, and other administrative tasks. The Program Coordinator will participate on various committees to assist with center operations, community partnerships, and delivery of services. The Program Coordinator will assist with community center operations during open hours and through remote work opportunities. Direct Supervisor: Executive Committee (President, Vice President) Preferred Relevant Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Currently enrolled as an ISU student. Preferred Education Field(s) of Study, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Open to any field of study. Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of LGBTQ\+ issues and experience with programming and advocacy. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be LGBTQIAP\+ affirming and culturally responsive. Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner. Must be dependable and punctual. Collaborate and cooperate with PCTH board members, volunteers, and community partners. Be courteous and personable when communicating with and serving community members. Be self\-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail\-oriented while also able to follow directions. Respect and maintain confidentiality of Pride Center of Terre Haute volunteers, partners, and donors. Desired technological skills \- Zoom, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and Canva. Required Certificates and Licenses: None required. Training will be provided. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with all phases of community center programs including development, promotion, implementation, evaluation, and other administrative tasks. Co\-create monthly social, educational, and service\-oriented program offerings. Take an active role in annual Pride Fest and Pride Month planning. Participate on various committees to assist with center operations, community partnerships, and delivery of services. Refer community members to community resources and/or Pride Center\-located mental health and healthcare services. May observe sessions with provider and client consent and can work with providers on various projects. Identify and collaborate with community partners. Assist with community center operations during open hours including: greeting visitors, sharing resources, answering phones, data entry, filing, maintenance of community center space, and more. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Availability: The Pride Center is open Thursdays from 4:00\-8:00pm, Fridays from 4:00\-8:00pm, and Saturdays from 12:00\-8:00pm. Student intern shifts include Thursdays from 3:30\-8pm, Fridays from 3:30\-8pm, Saturdays from 11:30am\-4pm and 3:30\-8pm with some variability allowed based on course scheduling. Varied weekday committee meetings, evening programming, and weekends for community center shifts. Pay: $10\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
