Community Growth \& Outreach Coordinator Guidepost Counseling for Wellness \| Redding, CA Part\-Time, Local / In\-Person \| Starting at $20/hour Guidepost Counseling for Wellness is looking for someone who likes people, follows through, and is willing to walk into a room and start a conversation. We are not looking for a person to sit behind a screen and post generic content. We are looking for someone who can help Guidepost become easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to refer to throughout Redding and Shasta County. That means showing up at Chamber events, BNI meetings, school and community events, nonprofit gatherings, referral\-partner offices, and local spaces where real relationships are built. About Guidepost Guidepost Counseling for Wellness is a neurodivergent\-informed therapy practice serving kids, teens, parents, couples, and adults. Our clients are often navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, sensory overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, parenting stress, relationship disconnection, family conflict, and major life transitions. We believe mental health care should be practical, human, and easier to access. We are building a practice that helps families understand what is happening beneath the behavior while giving them real tools for what to do next. We are growing because more families need support. We need someone who can help our community know who we are, what we do, and when to send someone our way. What You Will Do You will help Guidepost build real community visibility and strong referral relationships. Your work will include: Attend Chamber events, BNI meetings, networking events, school events, community fairs, and local gatherings Introduce Guidepost to referral partners, including schools, pediatric offices, churches, nonprofits, youth programs, physicians, attorneys, and local businesses Follow up consistently after events, meetings, referrals, and introductions Maintain a simple, organized referral\-partner and outreach tracker Help coordinate outreach for Guidepost workshops, groups, parenting programs, and community events Support booths, presentations, open houses, and local partnership opportunities Create and schedule simple social media and community\-facing content Gather photos, stories, ideas, and updates from the Guidepost team Help identify where Guidepost needs to be present in the local community Represent Guidepost with warmth, maturity, professionalism, and discretion What Success Looks Like This is not a role where success is measured only by posting on social media. Success looks like: Consistent presence at the right local events New referral relationships being started and maintained Thoughtful follow\-up after every meaningful connection A growing list of people who know what Guidepost does and who to refer Community\-facing content that helps local families understand our services Clear weekly reporting on outreach, contacts, follow\-ups, opportunities, and next steps You May Be a Strong Fit If You Are comfortable walking into a room where you do not know anyone and introducing yourself Enjoy building relationships, not just collecting business cards Are organized enough to follow up after a conversation Know that the second conversation often matters more than the first Are comfortable speaking about a service\-oriented business without sounding scripted or salesy Have experience in outreach, marketing, hospitality, event coordination, education, nonprofit work, customer service, business development, or community engagement Are comfortable with Canva, social media, basic video, email, and Google Workspace Have reliable transportation and can attend some early\-morning, evening, or community events Can work independently while staying aligned with clear priorities and weekly goals Care about helping families access meaningful mental health support This Role Is Not A remote\-only position A virtual assistant role An intake or receptionist position A clinical position A role for someone who wants to “do marketing” but does not enjoy meeting people A role where you are expected to attend events without following up afterward What We Offer Part\-time W\-2 employment Starting pay of $20/hour Flexible scheduling around agreed\-upon outreach priorities and community events Clear direction, weekly check\-ins, and visible goals A chance to help shape how Guidepost becomes known in the local community A workplace that values clarity, follow\-through, healthy boundaries, and sustainable work Meaningful work that helps more kids, adults, couples, and families access care How to Apply Please submit your resume and a short note answering these questions: What interests you about representing Guidepost in the Redding and Shasta County community?
