Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. In this vital role, you will manage payroll operations, oversee related accounting functions, and collaborate with Human Resources and finance teams to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will drive efficiency and accuracy in our compensation processes, supporting our commitment to employee satisfaction and organizational integrity. Duties Process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal standards Perform data entry for employee hours, benefits, tax information, and deductions with precision using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping Administer benefits programs, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, including tax filings, benefits administration, and compliance documentation Collaborate with HRIS systems to update employee information and process changes efficiently Assist with governmental reporting requirements related to payroll taxes and other statutory obligations Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed to ensure seamless financial operations Requirements Proven experience managing payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex or UltiPro; familiarity with Kronos or Ceridian is a plus Strong understanding of payroll management principles combined with knowledge of corporate accounting practices and financial concepts Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks; experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries is essential Knowledge of benefits administration processes and tax regulations impacting payroll processing Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail Ability to perform analysis using financial data to identify discrepancies or issues promptly Familiarity with human resources information systems (HRIS) and governmental reporting standards Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast\-paced environment Basic understanding of non\-profit accounting principles is advantageous but not required Join us in this exciting role where your expertise will directly impact our employees’ experience by ensuring their compensation is accurate, timely, and compliant.
