What You'll Be Doing in the role of Coordinator The Coordinator, Event Planning and Experience, is a key part of the team supporting the Sr. Director, Event Planning \& Experience with event planning needs for all Susan G. Komen Signature Peer to Peer and Social events including logistics, planning, participant experience, development and implementation. The Coordinator will take a supporting role in setting, evolving and communicating event planning, event execution and event participant experience standards. They will ensure organizational brand consistency and execution among all Komen events to ensure a consistent experience. The Coordinator will be a key member of the team, providing logistical and administrative support for Peer\-to\-Peer Events including Race for the Cure and MORE THAN PINK Walks, as well as social events. They will balance multiple projects at a time, keeping track of deadlines, forward thinking about needs for each event and offering first\-in\-class customer service to staff “clients”. What You Will Bring to the Table Venue selection and contracting Hotel room block coordination Transportation coordination Input on agenda planning for logistical purposes Meal Planning and menu selection Coordinate with cross\-departmental teams for collateral creation – invites, signage, PPT Coordinate with Development on contracted national sponsor benefits Provide budget estimates and input during budgeting and forecasting Manages the creation of purchase orders, codes and process invoices, tracks due dates, and confirms payment processing. Manage day\-to\-day communication with event vendors Support operations of the Community Development Event team. Completes day\-to\-day administrative functions. All other duties as assigned. We Already Know You Will Also Have 2\-5 years’ work experience in the capacity of experience in event planning and coordination or doing something similar with outstanding results. Strong experience in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint. A top 1% level of resourcefulness. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects on multiple timelines with varying priorities. Attitude of excellence, willing to roll up their sleeves and operate in a highly collaborative environment. Excellent attention to detail and planning, organization, and follow\-up skills. Ability to work with multiple teams and vendors, connecting dots across the organization, and interacting daily with our internal “customers” High\-energy individual, with a passion to learn and contribute. Experience with numbers and understanding the basics of budgeting. Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Preferred experience includes: Working knowledge of systems and tools like Salesforce, Asana and Cvent. So what's in it for you? Competitive Range of $21\.03 to $26\.67/hour, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience and geographic location.
