Overview

HouseCall MD is seeking a Geriatric Physician MD or DO to join our clinical care team in San Mateo CA and surrounding areas.

We are a physician\-led mobile medical group providing primary care services to elderly patients in assisted living facilities skilled nursing facilities and residential settings.

This role is designed to allow physicians to focus on patient care with minimal administrative burden while maintaining full flexibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive routine and urgent care visits for geriatric patients
• Manage chronic conditions and develop proactive care plans
• Assess safety of living environments and patient needs
• Educate patients families and caregivers on treatment plans
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams across settings
• Document patient visits in the EHR system

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active state medical license
• Active DEA license

Preferred

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Experience in geriatrics primary care or mobile care settings

Work Model

• Round in assisted living facilities skilled nursing facilities and patient homes
• Work at your own pace with full control of scheduling
• No hospital privileges required
• Not a hospitalist role focused on primary care
