We are seeking a Solutions Engineer, AIfor our First Quality Tissue SE, LLCcompany working remotely. This position will be responsible designing, developing, deploying and scaling AI\-driven assets across all business functions including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, HR, Sales/Marketing and Customer Service.

This role will leverage Palantir Foundry/AIP or equivalent enterprise data and AI platforms to build scalable data models, AI\-driven workflows, and intelligent applications embedded directly into plant and business processes.

The position works cross\-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, IT/OT, and Enterprise Transformation leadership to translate operational challenges into production\-grade AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Primary responsibilities include:

AI Solution Development, Deployment \& Life Cycle Management

  • Design, develop, and deploy production\-grade AI/ML models within Palantir or equivalent enterprise platforms
  • Develop AI\-driven workflows embedded in all business functions
  • Build ontology\-driven or model\-based data structures to support operational decision\-making
  • Develop LLM\-enabled assistants and intelligent workflow automation solutions
  • Productionize models with monitoring, retraining strategies, and performance tracking
  • Measure business impact (cost, throughput, quality, service)
  • Continuously improve models based on operational feedback
  • Ensure models are explainable and trusted by business functional experts and end users
  • Manufacturing \& Supply Chain Transformation

  • Partner with plant leaders, engineers, planners, and quality teams to identify high\-impact AI use cases
  • Translate operational problems into scalable technical solutions
  • Embed AI insights into daily workflows for operators, supervisors, planners, and executives
  • Replace manual and spreadsheet\-driven processes with automated, intelligent systems
  • Support management of change and adoption of AI\-enabled solutions
  • Example use cases may include:
  • + Predictive maintenance

    + Yield and throughput optimization

    + Demand forecasting and inventory optimization

    + Quality anomaly detection

    + Root cause analysis

    + Process and cost optimization

    Data Engineering \& Integration

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines integrating ERP, MES, SCADA/PLC, quality, and supply chain systems
  • Work with structured and unstructured data sources across enterprise and plant environments
  • Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and security standards are maintained
  • Collaborate with IT and OT teams to bridge plant\-floor data into enterprise AI models
  • LLM \& Intelligent Automation

  • Design and deploy secure, role\-based AI assistants
  • Implement retrieval\-augmented generation (RAG), tool orchestration, and workflow automation
  • Apply LLMs to SOP interpretation, diagnostics, reporting automation, and executive insights
  • Ensure responsible AI practices aligned with company policies and governance standards
  • Governance \& Responsible AI

  • Design solutions that meet data security, IP protection, and regulatory requirements
  • Support development of enterprise AI standards and best practices
  • Promote explainable, ethical, and transparent AI deployment
  • Ensure AI outputs are trusted and usable by business stakeholders
  • The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems), Applied Mathematics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5\+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML engineering, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Hands\-on experience developing end\-to\-end solutions natively with Palantir Foundry/AIP or equivalent platforms.
  • Proven track record of bridging IT and business functions to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Experience integrating manufacturing and/or supply chain systems.
  • 3\+ years of experience in manufacturing or CPG environments preferred
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge preferred
  • Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with IT systems commonly used in CPG manufacturing, such as SAP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), Quality, Workday, SalesForce, and Microsoft Solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • + Python

    + SQL

    + Data modeling

  • Hands\-on experience with:
  • + Machine learning (supervised / unsupervised)

    + Time\-series forecasting

    + Optimization techniques

  • Experience deploying models into production environments
  • Familiarity with:
  • + Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

    + Spark or distributed data processing

  • Work Environment:

  • This role will require frequent travel to manufacturing facilities or division offices
  • Hybrid work arrangement with a mix of on\-site and remote work, depending on business needs
  • Minimal travel maybe required.
