Job Summary

We partner with communities to seek health and wellness, working to eliminate health care inequities with an expanded care team that includes behavioral health, social workers, nurses, population health coordinators, patient navigators, community health workers, community resource specialists, high\-risk RN case management, and support for virtual visits. Computer, written and verbal communication skills are necessary and prior experience with use of an electronic medical record system (i.e. Epic) is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required. The individual must be a graduate of an approved pharmacy technician or medical assistant program or have equivalent institutional/retail pharmacy or medical office experience. Pharmacy Technician Registration by the Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration or Medical Assistant Certification is preferred. One\-year experience in a medical office or pharmaceutical industry is required. Prior pharmacy experience is desirable.
The MAC plays an integral part on our centralized ambulatory pharmacy services team helping support our patient's medication management needs. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously while also functioning as part of a collaborative team! They will serve as the primary liaison for clinical stakeholders regarding MGBMG pharmacy\-based prior authorization and support programs, refill renewals, prescription assistance programs, and assist the clinical pharmacists in their daily tasks at their discretion. The MAC is also responsible for overseeing workload and balancing quality improvement project management.
Due to the remote nature of the role, we ensure that our employees receive required technology and training to be proficient and independently productive in all job responsibilities regardless of work location. Employees are responsible for designating a workspace within the remote work location that is private, safe, ergonomic and free from distractions.

We are seeking a full time, 40\-hour Medication Access Coordinator (MAC) to join our team, Monday through Friday 8:00am\-4:30pm.

Experience
- High school diploma required.
- College degree preferred.
- Successful completion of an accredited or Board\-certified Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant training program, or equivalent institutional/retail pharmacy or medical office experience is highly desirable.
- One\-year experience in a medical setting is required. Prior pharmacy experience desirable.
- Epic experience preferred.
