Overview
We are hiring a part\-time Care Coordination Assistant (Non\-Medical) to support administrative and scheduling tasks for an individual client. This role focuses on organizing appointments, tracking follow\-ups, and communicating with healthcare offices to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. The position is administrative in nature and does not involve medical care, clinical decision\-making, or hands\-on services.
Duties
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule medical appointments
- Track upcoming prescription refill needs and submit refill requests before medications run out
- Call provider offices, labs, and pharmacies to follow up on open items
- Monitor ongoing tasks and ensure nothing is missed
- Maintain accurate documentation using provided systems
- Communicate status updates clearly and professionally
- Prepare weekly written summaries outlining completed tasks, pending items, and next steps
- High school diploma or GED required, Associates/Bachelors preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Prior experience in healthcare administration, medical office support, patient scheduling, referrals, or care coordination
- Strong attention to detail and high organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple open tasks and follow through until completion
- Ability to recognize patterns, identify issues, and problem\-solve within defined scope
- Working knowledge of common healthcare providers and specialties (e.g., primary care, specialists, labs, pharmacies)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with healthcare offices, pharmacies, and clients
- Comfortable handling sensitive personal and health\-related information with discretion
- Ability to follow defined workflows, documentation standards, and escalation protocols
- Ability to work independently and proactively follow through on open items without requiring constant direction.

Requirements
This role is well\-suited for someone who values structure, organization, and clear expectations in their work.
Work setting: Remote (Florida\-based required).
Schedule: Flexible within the week; must be available during weekday business hours (approximately 9am–5pm ET) starting at 15 hours a week and eventually transitioning to 30\-35 hours per week (Room for growth to a managerial position).
Pay: $15\.00 \- $18\.00 per hour
