VivacityPsych Inc. is a growing outpatient mental health practice providing medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. Our mission is to expand access to compassionate, high\-quality psychiatric care through both in\-person and telepsychiatry services.
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Physician Assistant or PMHNP who is interested in growing with a supportive and expanding private practice, and is passionate about mental health with a commitment to continued learning and growth within the field.
Position Overview
This role will begin as a part\-time 1099 position with the opportunity to transition into a full\-time role as the practice continues to grow. The role is flexible with virtual appointments.
You will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow\-up care via telehealth visits.
Minimum Requirements and Experience (Please apply only if you meet these)
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies or Board\-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP\-BC)
- Active, unrestricted Virginia license
- Willingness to obtain Maryland license
- Active Virginia DEA license
- Minimum 2 years experience in psychiatry or mental health care
- Comfortable treating patients ages 5\+ across the lifespan
- Comfortable providing care via telehealth
- Must be comfortable with 15–30 minute follow\-up visits and 45–60 minute initial evaluations
- Strong documentation and clinical decision\-making skills
- Proven ability to adhere to medical standards and protocols while providing exceptional patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration within the healthcare team.
- CAQ in Psychiatry for PA's (Certificate of Added Qualifications)
- Autonomous practice authority for NP's
- Experience treating children and adolescents
- Experience in outpatient/private practice settings
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions
- Provide ongoing medication management and follow\-ups
- Maintain timely and accurate EHR documentation
- Collaborate with clinical team as needed
- Provide telehealth and occasional in\-person care
