Summary of Position
The Operations Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and analytical support to the Operations team. This role is responsible for high\-volume data entry and analysis, preparing and distributing reports to internal stakeholders, and ensuring all operational documentation is accurately completed, maintained, and readily accessible. The Operations Assistant also supports employee initiatives, including job\-specific training, tailgate training coordination, and onboarding follow\-up. Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively in a fast\-paced, evolving environment, demonstrate flexibility and sound judgment when responding to changing priorities, and consistently deliver a high level of internal customer service.

Job Specific Duties \& Responsibilities
· Oversee, ensure accuracy and data entry of production order (PDO’s) closing in SAP
· Ensure accurate inventory consumption for cost and raw product, ingredient, and packaging traceability.
· Measures performance against process requirements, aligns improvements to performance gaps, provides recommendations for improvement and runs cost/benefit analysis.
· Track and report production line performance in schedule attainment, yields and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
· Provide technical and administrative support to Finished Goods Scheduler and Operations Planner
- Performs root cause analysis on inventory and reports discrepancies to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships, work cross\-functionally, and be able to strategically resolve conflicts and implement solutions.
- Provide high\-level customer service to internal and external customers.

· Work closely with plant operations, scheduling, and cost accounting to validate order variances, labor performance, and material usage accuracy.
Qualifications
* Associate’s degree and/or minimum three (3\) years of manufacturing and/or plant experience
* Proficient in navigating ERP systems, such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Famous
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
* Bilingual, Spanish
Internal Contacts \& Key Interactions
The Operations Planner will regularly collaborate with the following internal stakeholders to ensure material availability, schedule adherence, and service\-level performance:
Finished Goods Planner / Scheduler
· Align material sourcing plans with the finished goods production schedule
· Communicate constraints, changes, and risks impacting production execution
Procurement / Purchasing
· Provide sourcing priorities and direction to Raw Product, Ingredient, and Packaging Buyers
· Align supplier agreements, lead times, and contract volumes with production demand
Quality Assurance (QA)
· Coordinate material holds, releases, rework, and disposition timing
· Ensure compliance with food safety, specification, and traceability requirements
Operations / Production Management
· Confirm material readiness for scheduled production runs
· Communicate shortages, substitutions, or timing risks impacting line efficiency
Receiving \& Warehouse / Inventory Control
· Align inbound material timing with storage capacity and FIFO requirements
· Monitor inventory age, shelf life, and space constraints
Sales \& Customer Service
· Communicate anticipated product shortages and recovery options
· Support customer allocation decisions during supply constraints
Finance / Accounting
· Support inventory valuation, aging, and working capital objectives
· Address invoice discrepancies, cost variances, and material write\-offs
IT / ERP Support
· Partner on ERP master data accuracy, BOM integrity, and reporting enhancements
Senior Leadership / Management
· Escalate risks, supply disruptions, and service\-level threats
· Provide visibility to inventory exposure and mitigation plans
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time and walk extended distances and for longer periods of time
· Ability to work in changing weather conditions
· Frequent climbing of stairs
