VESTRA Resources, Inc. (VESTRA) is seeking candidates for a part\-time Document Production Specialist to join our Environmental/Engineering Division. This position has the potential to become a full\-time position based on Company needs. This is not a remote position, this position will report to our office location in Redding, California.
VESTRA is an Environmental, Engineering, and GIS Consulting firm located in Redding, California that has been serving the Northstate since 1988\.
The individual hired for the Document Production Specialist (Specialist) position will be responsible for assisting / serving as a backup to our Document Production Coordinator (Coordinator) with document production efforts, including but not limited to typing, proofreading, editing, copying, binding, and distribution and filing of outgoing professional documents. The Specialist supports the Coordinator, who will assign projects or portions of projects to the Specialist as necessary. The Specialist will review documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting (according to the VESTRA Style guide), and general content, and is responsible for the production and distribution of assigned documents. The Specialist will assist the Coordinator in keeping the Style Guide up to date and available to technical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of document production including, but not limited to writing, typing, editing, proofing, formatting, creating PDF documents, scanning, printing, copying, binding, mailing, delivering, filing, etc.
- Proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting (according to the VESTRA Style Guide).
- Review documents for general content. The Specialist is not responsible for reviewing technical documents for validity or accuracy; however, this position is responsible for the readability of a document and may edit accordingly, as long as those edits do not affect the validity or accuracy of technical information provided.
- Assist with coordinating the review process/final production of documents/reports with project managers to meet report due dates.
- Assist in the design, typing, and production of business development materials such as statements of qualifications, proposals, brochures and web site contents.
- Provide support such as coordination of work efforts, project timelines, project tracking, typing, and cost proposals, as needed.
- Perform other administrative / clerical duties to support the Company as needed. Such additional tasks may include but are not limited to mail and package delivery, answering phones, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two (2\) years document production related experience preferred.
- Any combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Experience editing and proofreading documents. Excellent grammar and spelling as well as writing abilities required.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook are required.
- Ability to type at least 40 WPM is required.
- Associates degree in a related field (English, communications, marketing, etc.) is a plus.
- Graphic design experience a plus.
- Proficient with standard office equipment, printers, fax machines, telephones.
- Ability to multi\-task, prioritize, and coordinate multiple aspects of a project is a necessity.
- Excellent organization skills are a necessity.
- Ability to focus, work efficiently and quickly under pressure and communicate effectively is a necessity.
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, face to face, e\-mail and written.
- Ability to organize and manage time, work on own initiative, prioritize between conflicting demands, work at a consistently high level of accuracy, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience and ability to work well within a team, create and maintain trust and confidentiality.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs; occasionally will need to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- This position will require driving.

The hourly rate for this position is $20\.00 \- $30\.00 and will be assigned based on the level of qualifications and experience applicable to the position.
