As an Assistant Account Executive at Wedgewood Health, you are the spark of curiosity and the engine of precision. You support the account team in delivering meaningful, enduring healthcare communications by blending scientific insight with human empathy. Gaining foundational knowledge of the brand, therapeutic category, and agency processes.
In this role, you will be deeply involved in medical advertising execution, making hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical or medical advertising—and a solid understanding of the regulatory environment—essential. You’ll play a key role in bringing tactics to life, confidently shepherding work through the MLR process, and partnering closely with clients and internal teams. Throughout it all, you’ll maintain a calm, confident presence that builds trust, keeps work moving forward, and reflects the energy and optimism of a growing agency.
Work Environment \& Location
This role is hybrid, with a preference for candidates who can work from our Holmdel, NJ office two days per week. We will prioritize hybrid candidates; however, we are open to remote consideration for the right candidate with the appropriate healthcare advertising agency experience and a strong track record of collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Financial management
- Tracks project budgets with supervision from the senior account team, reports/shares information with the team on how each project is tracking
- Develop estimates with support from manager
- Maintain organized documentation including estimates, schedules, and status reports
- Maintains the SPO sits and uploads all CCRs, status reports, client provided materials, estimates, and materials sent to clients
- Present a professional and positive image of Wedgewood both internally and externally
- Maintains the SPO sites and uploads all CCRs, status reports, client provided materials, estimates, and materials sent to clients
- Assist in the development of project briefs
- Support project management by tracking timelines and deliverables in Advantage
- Participate in internal and client meetings, capturing notes and action items
- Assists in setting up all internal and external meetings and ensures all materials are prepped and available for the meeting
- Provides input to PM team on the project work plans (Gantt charts)
- Begin to understand the MLR process and assist in submission preparation – demonstrates a working knowledge of Veeva
- Can assist in annotating for MLR submissions
- Participate in the routing process, know the agency job flow process, and understand what each department in the agency does
- Build trust through transparent communication and consistent follow\-through
- Demonstrate curiosity by researching the therapeutic category and competitive landscape
- Understand how to read a PI/SmPC
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the brand’s clinical data (primary and secondary endpoints, safety information, dosing, and indication)
- Stay informed on healthcare trends and bring fresh perspectives to the team

- Bachelor’s degree required
- 0–1 year of experience in marketing, advertising, or healthcare preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Advantage
- Interest in healthcare communications and client service
