Summary / Objective
We are a fast\-paced, professional boutique law firm that takes ownership and pride in our work product, in addition to a proper work/life balance. We are located in Anaheim, CA. Business Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. We are actively seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Legal Assistant to join our workers' compensation defense legal team. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our legal support team. You will be providing support to our clients and our legal teams as they navigate through difficult times. Essential Functions
Directly support a team of attorneys to progress a claim towards closure.
Screen all telephone calls for a team of attorneys.
Serve as the first point of contact for client matters, delegating to department staff or attorneys only when necessary.
Carefully review attorney correspondence for spelling, grammar, content and formatting
Draft routine correspondence and pleadings, Pre\-Trial Conference Statements, settlement documents, and preparation of Trial Exhibits.
Send requests for documents and forms to clients.
Follow up with clients to ensure receipt of needed documents/forms
Provide clients with meeting links for virtual hearings, meetings, and mediations.
Stamp and redact documents as necessary.
Send documents to parties for e\-signatures.
File court documents and serve working copies as required.
Strategic thinking to triage tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
Proactively assist attorneys with upcoming hearings and depositions.
Schedule and calendar mediations and depositions.
Coordinate interpreters, obtain court transcripts and arrange for court reporters as needed.
Electronically files pleadings, eForms, and Trial Exhibits into the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board system.
Accurately bill for all work completed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $24\.00 \- $35\.00 per hour
