Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care.
- Take and develop dental X\-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring accurate medical coding within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems (Eaglesoft).
- Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures and assist in maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and answering questions professionally.
- Support the team with administrative tasks related to medical documentation, medical coding, and maintaining compliance with infection control standards.
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment or general dentistry practice is advantageous but NOT STRICTLY NEEDED
- Team oriented, teachable and highly enthusiastic characteristics are essential to join our team
- Spanish speaking will be highly valued
- This could be viewed as an entry level position where training will be offered
- Experience using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient data is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is required.
- Hands\-on experience with X\-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices will be valued.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical operations.
