Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office and providing excellent support to both patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in a medical office environment.
Duties
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for medical professionals.
- Assist in the preparation of care plans and ensure all patient records are up\-to\-date.
- Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
- Submit prior authorizations and provider documentation to health care partners.
- Screen potential clients and navigate them to other services when applicable.
- Previous experience in a dental office or medical office is preferred.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Bilingual (english/spanish)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment.
