Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented part time accounting \& administrative assistant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will support various accounting and human resources functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across financial and administrative operations.
This position will begin in an on\-site capacity to allow training and operational integration. After successful onboarding and demonstrated performance, the role may transition to primarily remote status based on business needs.
Reporting Relationship
The accounting and administration assistant will report directly to the Finance/HR manager and will periodically assist with the President \& CEO.
Accounting \& Finance Support
- Accounts payable and receivable assistance
- Banking and Credit Card Transaction review and entry in accounting software
- Support month\-end close
- Maintain organized financial records
- Process payroll under supervision of Finance/HR Manager
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Assist with onboarding documentation
- Support benefits and 401(k) administration
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records
- Maintain reliable high\-speed internet
- Maintain a secure and private workspace
- Follow company cybersecurity protocols
- Protect confidential financial and employee data
- Be available during standard business hours
- Education – associate’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
- Experience – 3 \- 5 years of experience in progressively responsible finance/administrative roles
- Knowledge of administrative systems and procedures
- Basic accounting principles
- Basic understanding of Texas labor laws
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Accounting software such as Quickbooks
- Experience with project management software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of confidentiality is a must
