Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff — Healthcare \& Business Operations

Location: Bloomfield Hills, MI (In\-Person Only) Job Type: Full\-Time

Compensation: Based on Experience

About the Role

This is not a typical EA job.

You will be working directly with a physician entrepreneur who runs multiple healthcare and business ventures simultaneously — including a hospitalist group, a hyperbaric oxyegn therapy center, a five\-location podiatry practice, a national telehealth company, and a restaurant concept currently in launch.

You will attend meetings on his behalf. You will manage communications, schedules, and follow\-ups across multiple organizations. You will be expected to understand what is being discussed — clinically, operationally, and financially — and act on it without hand\-holding.

If you need a lot of direction, this role is not for you. If you thrive in high\-velocity, multi\-entity environments and can context\-switch fast, keep reading.

What You Will Own

  • Inbox and calendar management across multiple businesses
  • Meeting attendance, note\-taking, and action item follow\-through
  • Coordination between business partners, clinical staff, vendors, and external teams
  • Drafting communications, memos, and operational documents
  • Keeping the principal informed, organized, and ahead of deadlines
  • Supporting business operations tasks as assigned — no task is too big or too small
  • What We're Looking For

    Non\-negotiables:

  • 3\+ years of experience as an EA, Chief of Staff, Practice Administrator, or healthcare operations role
  • Baseline fluency in healthcare operations — you know what a credentialing packet is, what NP oversight means, what prior authorizations are, and how a medical practice runs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized, self\-directed, and proactive
  • Comfortable representing someone else in a professional setting
  • Discretion — you will have access to sensitive business and clinical information
  • Strong Plusses:

  • Background in multi\-site medical group, hospital system, or physician\-owned practice
  • Experience supporting a C\-suite executive or physician leader
  • Familiarity with business operations, P\&L, vendor management
  • Exposure to healthcare billing, compliance, or telehealth operations
  • Experience using project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Monday, etc.)
  • What This Is Not

  • This is an in\-person role — remote work is not available
  • This is not a role where you wait to be told what to do
  • This is not a stepping stone position — we want someone who wants to grow with us long\-term
  • About the Businesses

You will be supporting operations across:

    * Hospitalist Group — physician\-led, overseeing a team of Nurse Practitioners

    * Hyperbaric Therapy Center — founder\-led HBOT clinic with a medical and wellness focus

    * Podiatry Practice Portfolio — five office locations across Michigan

    * National Telehealth Platform — currently launching, focused on longevity and metabolic health

    * Restaurant Venture — investor and operational oversight role in a new concept

    How to Apply

Submit your resume and a brief cover note answering two questions:

  • Describe the most complex operational environment you have supported.
  • What is your baseline familiarity with healthcare operations — be specific.
  • Applications without a cover note will not be reviewed.

    Pay: $53,402\.21 \- $64,312\.34 per year

    Benefits:

  • Paid time off
  • Application Question(s):

  • Have you previously supported an executive, physician, or business owner across multiple organizations or locations simultaneously? If yes, briefly describe the environment.
  • How familiar are you with healthcare operations terminology and workflows — such as credentialing, prior authorizations, NP oversight, or medical billing? Rate yourself 1–5 and give a specific example.
  • Describe a situation where you had to make a judgment call or take action on behalf of your employer without being able to reach them first. What did you do and what was the outcome?
  • Experience:

  • Healthcare management: 2 years (Required)
  • Executive Assistant: 3 years (Required)
  • Language:

  • English (Required)

Work Location: In person
