- Assist with basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Run errands and accompany the client to appointments, including barber visits as needed
- Provide companionship and support during daily activities to ensure the client's comfort and well\-being
- Provide client\-facing care as assigned
- + Provide assistance with daily tasks as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employment
- Adhere to HIPAA laws and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1\) year of documented home care assistance and/or direct care experience at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, etc., is preferred
- Preferred: Successful completion of a nursing assistant or certified home health aide program
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x\-ray
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance (proof of insurance is required)
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Self\-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
- Up\-to\-date vaccinations including COVID\-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B
