We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist who possess the ability to multi\-task and problem solve, have strong organizational skills, be self\-disciplined, have an ambitious attitude, and excellent customer service. Your primary mission will be to promote patient safety, and maintaining a positive problem\-solving attitude. This is a fast paced office assisting home health clients/staff, blood draws, DNA testing, gender reveal, DOT/NDOT clients as well as clients of all ages.

Clinical skills include competent with all aspects of phlebotomy and maintain infection control standards at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program and/or 1\+ years of medical assistant experience in an urgent care, physician, emergency room setting, home health/nursing home setting or enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Meet all other state requirements by law, including but not limited to all state requirements, and licenses, where applicable
  • If required by state must maintain current certification from the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board
  • Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Strong communication skills, be able to multitask, ability to market and socialize with current and potential clients on social media/company website
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with employer health services (including urine drug screens, breath alcohol, DOT physicals, etc.)
  • Experience with the following tasks:
  • Clinical intake, patient data collection
  • Laboratory specimen collection (blood\-draw/venipuncture, urine collection, point of care testing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations including OSHA and HIPAA requirements
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems (EMR) used in clinical management settings
  • Administrative tasks to include: Faxing, printing, scanning, answering calls
  • This position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.

    Pay: $15\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour
