Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail\-oriented Legal Assistant for a business process focused position. Your proactive approach and strong administrative skills will help ensure smooth operations within our law office, assisting attorneys with document preparation, legal filings and business associate and client communication. This position includes working directly with the managing attorney to help operate a specific branch of our business. This position offers long\-term opportunities for growth in experience and responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • You will be required to provide your own computer with Windows 11 operating system and all current security updates. A dual monitor setup or a single large monitor is required for efficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
  • Manage legal case files and document management systems to ensure accurate organization and easy retrieval of case information.
  • Follow our procedures and processes while making suggestions for improvements in efficiency.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, managing litigation schedules, communicating with business associates, courts and clients.
  • Longer term expectations are to assist the managing attorney with all aspects of the business operations.
  • Experience

  • Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience in a law office setting is highly preferred.
  • Business administration experience will be very helpful. This is more of a business type job than a paralegal job.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Google based email and business systems, and Lawmatics.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow procedures that allow us to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Pay: From $15\.00 per hour
