Job Summary
Lone Star Training Center is seeking a dependable, professional, and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations and assist with school district, employer and organization partnerships and enrollment activities. This role requires a high level of professionalism in all communications and interactions, while providing administrative support, customer service, and outreach to schools and businesses regarding certification programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Respond to inquiries from students, customers, and prospective customers with professionalism and timeliness (phone, email, and in person)
- Provide general office support including filing, data entry, document preparation, and record maintenance
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and virtual presentations while maintaining a professional calendar and communication process
- Maintain accurate and organized records of student inquiries, enrollments, and business contacts
- Assist with intake and enrollment paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Discuss certification programs with school districts and businesses to identify student enrollment opportunities
- Identify and engage businesses to offer employee upskilling through certification programs
- Conduct virtual presentations to promote programs in a professional and polished manner
- Follow up on inquiries and assist with closing enrollments
- Support coordination of classes, events, and program logistics
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated professionalism in verbal, written, and in\-person interactions
- Reliable and able to work during office hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; 1 hour lunch break 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast\-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable transportation required
- High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree or administrative training is preferred
- Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar position
- Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
- Compensation: $15/hr
