The Opportunity: While large healthcare networks in the Bay Area offer excellent standard benefits, their high\-volume clinical models aren't for everyone. June Medical Group is a newly launching, independent primary care practice offering a different approach. We operate on a low\-patient\-volume, high\-touch care model. We are looking for a highly compassionate, cheerful, and empathetic individual to join us. We have two ideal candidates in mind for this role:
1\. Experienced Medical Assistants Seeking a Change of Pace In many large clinical settings, Medical Assistants are required to manage high patient volumes, which often means rapid room turnover, continuous vital checks, heavy inbox triaging, and sometimes unpredictable or rotating shift schedules.
* Our approach is different. At our practice, you will work directly alongside one physician with a fixed, reliable schedule. We prioritize quality over quantity. Our Virtual Assistants handle the heavy lifting of inbox messages and administrative triage so you can actually focus on making a difference for the patients in front of you.
2\. The Ambitious Gap\-Year Graduate (Pre\-Med / Pre\-PA / Pre\-Nursing) Are you a fresh college graduate looking to gain high\-quality, hands\-on clinical experience before applying to Medical, PA, NP, or Nursing school? There is no better preparation than direct, 1\-on\-1 clinical mentorship.
* At our practice, you will get a masterclass in medicine. You will work directly with a physician bringing over two decades of internal medicine expertise. You won't just learn how to room a patient; you will learn clinical reasoning, how to navigate the gold\-standard Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and the business fundamentals of medical billing. We love to teach and will train the right motivated graduate from the ground up.
Your Role: Because of our high\-touch approach, this role is highly autonomous but clinically "light":
* Patient Experience: Serve as the welcoming, smiling face of the practice. Provide outstanding customer service, managing check\-ins and front desk operations with a warm and empathetic demeanor.
* Light Clinical Support: Support a smooth, unhurried clinical flow. You will be expected to turn over exam rooms, but vitals are not strictly required for every patient. You will act as a female chaperone for the physician when necessary, and occasionally perform essential in\-office CLIA\-waived tests (such as EKGs, urine dipstick/pregnancy, rapid strep, flu, and COVID tests).
* Supported Administrative Tasks: Double up on light administrative tasks and part\-time billing/insurance coordination.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant OR a highly motivated recent college graduate pursuing a career in healthcare.
