DStar Productions LLC is seeking a highly organized and reliable Artist Operations Assistant (Music Admin \& Sync Licensing) to support the backend operations of a growing music artist brand.

This role focuses on music administration, catalog organization, and sync licensing preparation — ensuring all releases are properly registered, tracked, and positioned for monetization opportunities.
This role is focused on execution and organization, not creative direction or artist management.
Key ResponsibilitiesMusic Administration
- Register songs with PROs such as ASCAP or BMI
- Set up and maintain registrations with SoundExchange
- Ensure all music is properly distributed and tracked via platforms like DistroKid
- Maintain accurate records of ISRC codes, splits, and release data
- Build and maintain a master tracker for all songs and releases
- Ensure all data is accurate, complete, and up to date
- Organize files and materials for easy access and submission
- Research and set up accounts on platforms such as:
- Songtradr
- Musicbed
- Artlist
- Upload and properly tag songs (mood, genre, tempo, usage)
- Submit music to sync opportunities
- Track all submissions and maintain organized records
- Maintain weekly task tracking systems
- Follow up on outstanding tasks and ensure completion
- Provide simple weekly updates on progress
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Reliable communication and follow\-through
- Ability to manage tasks independently
- Interest in music business / entertainment
- This role is best suited for someone who is detail\-oriented and comfortable working behind the scenes
- You will be responsible for ensuring tasks are completed, not just started
- This is a remote, flexible, task\-based role
- Initial setup phase (first month): $150–$250
- Ongoing support: $75–$150/month depending on workload
