Join our dynamic legal team as a Personal Injury Paralegal, where your expertise will drive the success of complex injury cases and support our mission to provide exceptional client service. In this energized role, you will manage case files, conduct legal research, and collaborate closely with attorneys to prepare for litigation and settlement negotiations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth case progression from inception to resolution, empowering clients during challenging times with professionalism and compassion. Duties
- Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases by organizing and maintaining case files using legal case management systems such as PCLaw and iManage
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across various practice areas including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and litigation using Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information for case development while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Review medical records, insurance documents, and other evidence to support case strategies and ensure accuracy in documentation
- Support the litigation process through document review, data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records in document management systems
- Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing deadlines, handling phone inquiries with excellent etiquette, and performing transcription tasks as needed
- Extensive experience in personal injury law with a strong understanding of legal procedures and case management practices
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, UCC law resources, and familiarity with environmental law, tribal law \& regulations, patent law, family law, securities law, estate planning, immigration law, landlord\-tenant law, land use law
- Skilled in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and contract review with exceptional writing skills
- Ability to utilize legal administrative software including PCLaw and iManage for efficient case tracking and document organization
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in document review and data entry tasks
- Effective interviewing techniques combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions
- Knowledge of legal research methodologies across various practice areas including workers' compensation law and litigation processes
- Experience supporting a busy law office environment with clerical experience in filing, document management systems, and administrative tasks
