Job Summary
The Trapper Program Manager is a full\-time position responsible for leading the Miami Veterinary Foundation’s TNVR Trapper Accountability Program. Miami Veterinary Foundation (MVF) is a local nonprofit dedicated to improving animal welfare and expanding access to veterinary care in Miami\-Dade County. This role supports community cat management efforts across the county by overseeing field operations, strengthening trapper accountability, maintaining program data, and helping measure impact through reporting and performance tracking.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to verify community cat colonies, assess colony conditions, and confirm TNVR projects meet requirements for managed status.
- Perform trapping as needed and ensure humane handling, transport, recovery monitoring, and proper care of community cats throughout the TNVR process.
- Oversee accountability for MVF trappers and partner trappers, including stipend management, documentation, and adherence to program standards and timelines.
- Manage and maintain database, ensuring accurate data entry, data quality, and timely tracking of colony and project outcomes.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking to measure program performance, impact, and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with community and rescue partners, veterinary clinics, and MVF leadership, while also supporting outreach, education, and two monthly MVF community events.
- Demonstrated experience in TNVR, community cat management, or animal welfare field operations.
- Experience working with animals and ability to handle them safely, humanely, and with compassion.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish required due to regular communication with Spanish\-speaking clients and community members.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Miami\-Dade County; clean driving record required.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 55 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
