We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Part\-Time Automobile Accountant/Controller to join our dynamic team. Duties

  • Manage all aspects of accounting related to automobile sales, service, parts, and inventory, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare detailed financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) controls and governmental accounting standards for transparency and accuracy
  • Handle cash management duties, including monitoring cash flow, bank reconciliations, and forecasting
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms for daily transactions and reporting
  • Support budgeting processes and assist in financial analysis to inform strategic decision\-making
  • Perform payroll processing and manage related tax filings in compliance with legal standards
  • Prepare and submit all compliance and regulatory reports
  • Experience

  • Proven experience in accounting within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits \& credits, double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and general ledger management
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements under GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and other relevant standards
  • Hands\-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent financial management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis accurately
  • Excellent financial report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity
  • Knowledge of cash management strategies and forecasting techniques
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights for management decisions
