Responsibilities:
The Graduate Enrollment Marketing and Admissions Assistant Director, SMD GEPA plays a critical role in advancing enrollment goals for graduate programs by leading strategic marketing initiatives, high\-impact recruitment activities, and personalized admissions support. This position designs and executes multi\-channel campaigns, builds strong pipelines through relationship development, and manages an applicant caseload from inquiry through enrollment. The role requires independent judgment, strategic thinking, and collaboration across academic and administrative teams to achieve program objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruitment \& Relationship Management
- Represent programs at virtual and in\-person recruitment events, conferences, and fairs. Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, faculty, alumni, and external partners to strengthen pipelines. (20%)
- Plan and execute travel in assigned regions; deliver presentations, interviews, and campus tours as needed. Maintain proactive communication with prospective students, counselors, parents, alumni, and corporate contacts. (10%)
- Manage a caseload of applicants, providing personalized guidance throughout the admissions process. Review and evaluate applications; make recommendations for admission decisions based on holistic review.
- Implement strategies to improve conversion rates from inquiry to enrollment, including timely follow\-up and engagement. Support weekend and special visitation programs as required.
- Design and manage integrated marketing campaigns (email, social media, paid advertising, SEO) to increase program visibility and lead generation.
- Develop compelling content for web, digital, and print aligned with brand standards.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance using analytics and marketing automation tools.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor programs, and student demographics to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with academic leadership to inform new program development and positioning strategies.
- Track and analyze marketing and recruitment metrics to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on enrollment trends, campaign effectiveness, and yield outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, higher education administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in higher education administration, marketing, or related discipline preferred.
- 5 years of related experience in enrollment management, marketing, or recruitment or an equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- Experience in graduate or health sciences enrollment preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in CRM systems and digital marketing tools. Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills required.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel and work occasional evenings/weekends required.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel) required.
- Regular travel and attendance at recruitment events required.
- Evening/weekend assignments may be necessary to support interviews, recruitment, and special visitation programs required.
- Familiarity with centralized application service platforms and marketing automation systems preferred.
- Demonstrated success in enrollment growth and campaign outcomes preferred.
- Slate, Workday, SharePoint knowledge desirable preferred.
