Thrive Counseling is seeking full\-time, independently licensed therapists (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) for in\-person, telehealth, or hybrid work!
At this time, we are especially seeking therapists who are available to provide in\-person sessions at our Rio Rancho location. That said, we are always open to connecting with great clinicians at either of our locations or whether you prefer in\-person, virtual, or hybrid work.
Thrive Counseling was created by therapists, for therapists. When two colleagues, Demian and Lindsey, met in 2012, they began discussing what had and had not worked in the agencies they had experienced. What didn’t work was clear: impersonal, high\-volume “therapy factory” environments, and small, disorganized agencies where inconsistency and personality outweighed structure.
What does work is simple: the therapist comes first.
That means being respected, supported, well\-compensated, and given both autonomy and community. These are the principles Thrive was built on and continues to operate from today.
What you can expect from us:
Thrive Counseling is a locally owned, mid\-sized, highly efficient, and therapist\-centered agency. Our administrative team is here to support you so you can focus on your clinical work and overall well\-being.
We value flexibility, direct communication, and a collaborative, not hierarchical, structure. Nearly half of our therapists were referred by current team members, which we believe speaks to the environment we’ve built!
What we offer:
- We pay $70\.50 per session (gross/contractor equivalent), which translates to approximately $64\.86 per session as a W\-2 employee, with Thrive covering a portion of your employment taxes. We include both rates so you can directly compare our compensation to contractor\-based agencies.
- A yearly total of approximately $92,784 (gross/contractor equivalent) when completing 24 sessions per week. This includes your session pay and a $400/month ($4,800/year) Wellness Stipend.
- The W\-2 equivalent of this pay is approximately $85,745/year.
- When factoring in additional benefits, including a 3% retirement match and a $400 annual CEU stipend, your total compensation comes out to approximately $95,823 gross equivalent ($88,573 W\-2 equivalent).
- The $400/month Wellness Stipend is automatically added to your paycheck, which can be used toward healthcare, insurance, gym membership, or personal wellness. We work with a trusted health insurance broker who can help you explore marketplace options and find a plan that fits your needs and budget. We also offer group dental and vision plans.
- A minimum of 2 weeks PTO, plus 5 paid holidays (bringing total paid time off to \~3 weeks per year).
- A 3% matched retirement plan that begins after 90 days and is fully yours from the start. No waiting period to vest.
- A $400 yearly stipend for continuing education and training.
- Professional liability insurance is covered at no cost to you
- Payday is every two weeks (Fridays)

In addition, we offer:
* 26–30\-hour work weeks for full\-time, with additional earning potential through bonuses. Earn a $100 bonus per pay period when 56\+ sessions are completed, with the opportunity to earn up to $2,600 more annually through consistent higher productivity.
How we operate:
At Thrive Counseling Services, you’ll find true flexibility. Your caseload is yours; you choose when you work, where you work, and who you work with. Sessions can be in\-person (at either of our two offices), remote, or a mix of both.
We do not expect availability outside of scheduled hours, and you do not need approval to take time off. No doctor’s notes required for sick days.
Our clients are all self\-referred. We do not work with court\-mandated populations or state contracts, and we focus on low\-acuity care. Our payer mix is approximately 50/50 Medicaid and private insurance.
We handle scheduling, billing, copays, and administrative tasks so you can focus on clinical work. We are fully digital with an EMR/EHR, and require no physical paperwork.

We intentionally cap our team size (currently \~20 therapists) to maintain a high level of quality, connection, and support. Our admin team and leadership are accessible and involved in day\-to\-day operations.
