Position Summary

We are seeking a highly capable, detail\-driven Controller who is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. This role manages the month\-end close process and serves as a hands\-on leader to the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. This opportunity is for an in\-office candidate; remote work is not available.

The Controller partners closely with senior leadership to provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision\-making and business growth.

Key Objectives

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management through evaluation, analysis, and reporting of key data to support strategic decision\-making
  • Maintain accurate oversight of financial health, including financial statements, budgets, and regulatory compliance
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures within the current economic landscape
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and guidelines to safeguard company assets
  • Achieve G\&A budgeting goals through effective planning, analysis, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with leadership to support short\- and long\-term strategies through accurate forecasting and financial analysis
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day\-to\-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, collections, invoicing, and general ledger management
  • Lead month\-end and year\-end close processes, including financial statement preparation and reporting
  • Monitor and maintain internal control policies and procedures related to revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures
  • Collaborate with management to establish and monitor financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards (biweekly, monthly, and annual)
  • Ensure consistent implementation of accounting policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws
  • Coordinate with management, tax advisors, and legal counsel throughout the fiscal year
  • Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and executive\-level reporting
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, trust, and productivity
  • Manage ERP/accounting systems, including system optimization, upgrades, and process improvements
  • Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Improve payroll efficiency through streamlined processes and innovative solutions
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings and strategic discussions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Required Skills \& Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Seven or more years of professional accounting experience, including at least three years in a senior accounting or financial management role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, including financial reporting standards, internal controls, and accounting principles
  • Clear understanding of State and Federal Tax Laws
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Solid understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Working knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing payroll with a focus on process efficiency and improvement
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Proven experience in financial project management and budgeting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to executive leadership
  • Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience managing, mentoring, and developing staff
  • Wage: $50\.07 to $68\.50

    Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.
