Position Summary
The Student Employees assist with tasks performed in the School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) Dean’s Office and will be assigned duties as needed for the SOM Clinical Affairs, Medical Education, Clinical and Applied Science Education, and Professional Development offices. The work will be varied and assignments will be provided on a weekly basis.
While the position supports UIWSOM, workspace is available in either the Provost’s Office in the Slattery Leadership Center on the Broadway Campus or at the SOM campus at 7615 Kennedy Hill, as transportation permits.
This is a student employee position and does not require Work Study eligibility.
Essential Functions
* Data Entry \& Management: Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring up\-to\-date information for professional program departments.
* Remote Collaboration: Participate in virtual team meetings, check\-ins, and other collaborative activities to maintain communication and teamwork with UIW SOM teams.
* Content Creation \& Updates: Assist with creating and updating online content, such as flyers and LMS materials.
* Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Current student in good academic standing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and on teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and problem\-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with supervisor and team members.
- Adherence to University and SOM policies and procedures.
- Current UIW student in good standing.
- Due to the nature of this position, applicants cannot be in or applying for the DO/MBS programs at UIW SOM.
- Education or background in communications or computer science.
- Experience with social media and online communication platforms.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Work Hours
Between the hours of 9 am\- 4pm, Monday through Friday, as class schedule permits. While the position supports SOM, the workspace is located in the Provost’s Office in the Slattery Leadership Center on the Broadway Campus. The student will check in and out with the Academic Affairs Business Manager for work hours.
Physical Demands
Ability to work at the computer for an extended period.
