We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Duties

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring adherence to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Manage all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) requirements and regulatory reporting standards for governmental and non\-profit entities.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and review cash management activities to optimize liquidity and cash flow.
  • Supervise internal controls related to technical accounting issues such as debits \& credits, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis for executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee audit processes including liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits.
  • Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline financial operations.
  • Lead initiatives in financial management including forecasting, account analysis, regulatory compliance, and process improvements.
  • Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance, governmental accounting standards, and non\-profit accounting practices.
  • Strong expertise in financial report writing, financial analysis, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or other relevant platforms; experience with financial software integration is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of technical accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Excellent cash management skills with the ability to optimize liquidity and manage accounts payable/receivable efficiently.
  • Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, financial concepts application, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with exceptional attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
  • Effective communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and collaborating across departments.
  • Experience working within non\-profit or governmental organizations is highly desirable; familiarity with public accounting practices is advantageous.
