Year Round Computer TechnicianJob DescriptionThe York School Department has an anticipated vacancy for a year round full time Computer Technician. The Computer Technician assists, implements, and updates the design, installation and connectivity of computer systems to ensure the stable operation of the York School Districts information technology assets; included are, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing hardware, software, and communication links. The Computer Technician works within a team of technology staff to resolve end\-user hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Technology \& Innovation.Other Responsibilities: Work cooperatively with Teachers, Staff, Technology Director, and Building Administrators, diagnosing and troubleshooting computer technology problems.Supports one to one Chromebook deploymentProvides first level support as needed; including phone, onsite and remote assistanceCreates and maintains comprehensive documentation of all inventory and proceduresConfigures, tests and maintains software and upgradesStudent Invoicing for computer repairCreates training materials for staffParticipates in budget development process, technology planning, and policy creationContributes to the use of problem tracking systems, maintaining records of user problems and solutionsPerforms a variety of other duties as assigned Minimum QualificationsOne to three years technology experienceBachelors degree in the field of Computer Science; MIS, or equivalent 4\-year technical degree, combination of experience and education will be considered.Experience supporting Windows, Mac OS/iOS, and Chrome OS devicesWorking knowledge of wireless and network technologiesStrong customer service orientationMust be highly motivated, directed, and display keen attention to detailAble to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high\-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situationsPossess proven analytical and problem\-solving abilitiesExperience working in team oriented, collaborative environmentMust possess a valid drivers licenseDesired QualificationsGoogle Educator Level 1 CertificationApple Certified Mac Technician, Google Admin certificationJAMF Management Certification
