Burke, Williams \& Sorensen, LLP is seeking a full\-time Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Assistant to join its Los Angeles office. This position is a full\-time, non\-exempt, 7\.5\-hour/day position and reports directly to the firm’s Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Director.
This position includes firmwide responsibility across our multiple offices in California. The Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Assistant will provide administrative support to the Legal Recruiting and Professional Development team.
Description
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support the planning and execution of internal, external, and virtual recruiting and professional development programs and events.
- Assist in organizing and administering the summer associate program, including orientation, materials, work assignments, and related social and training activities.
- Provide support for attorney training programs and other professional development initiatives.
- Coordinate program logistics such as scheduling, securing meeting space, arranging room setup, and preparing materials.
- Partner with various departments to maintain accurate recruiting, professional development, and diversity data, ensuring information is organized and accessible.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of industry surveys.
- Monitor and reconcile recruiting and professional development budgets.
- Process and track expense reports and payment requests as needed.
- Participate in special projects and team initiatives.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports as assigned.
- Provide general administrative support across department activities.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 1\-2 years relevant experience preferred.
Qualifications
Compensation
The pay range for this position is the hourly equivalent of $50,000 – $65,000 annually. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skillset, and successful track record. Annual discretionary bonuses, competitive health insurance benefits, and 401(k) with a partial match are offered when individuals are eligible for benefits.
