We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research to support case preparation across various practice areas such as personal injury and workers' compensation law
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including demands, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage case files and document management systems like MyCase to ensure proper organization and easy retrieval of case information
- Conduct document review and data entry for case files while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with legal standards
- Support project management tasks related to litigation by coordinating schedules and tracking deadlines
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones with professional etiquette, scheduling appointments, and providing executive administrative support as needed
- Assist in client interviews and gather relevant information through effective interviewing techniques to facilitate case development
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with familiarity in diverse practice areas including personal injury and workers' compensation law
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms to gather pertinent case law and legal precedents
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as MyCase; experience with document review systems is highly desirable
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines
- Experience in handling legal administrative tasks including filing, data entry, document management systems operation, proofreading, transcription, and clerical support
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to interview clients or witnesses effectively when necessary
