WHO YOU ARE:

The Quality Assurance team is seeking a collaborative and customer\-focused IT professional to play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software. This role requires proven experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on performance, security, and continuous improvement. Strong communication and problem\-solving skills are critical.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Quality Assurance Analyst (Systems Analyst IV\-V) is selected by and accountable to the Quality Assurance and Test Engineer Manager with the approval of the IT Central Intake and Quality Assurance Director, Deputy Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Officer. Performs highly complex to advanced (senior\-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves coordinating the planning, and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems in Applications Solutions (AS). May supervise the work of others. Works under limited to minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:

  • Develop software engineering (SE) policies, procedures, and templates required for use in AS and work with the team to update SOPs in the IT Handbook.
  • Coordinate with software engineers and testing teams to plan release schedules and ensure the quality and efficiency of each release.
  • Train IT staff on SE procedures and templates, provides Tier 1 support to Applications Solutions staff on SE practice.
  • Train TWC administrative and program areas with a mission of providing a robust SDLC and Project Management Life Cycle.
  • Perform random sampling of SE efforts for QA compliance with a goal of helping staff and teams improve the quality of their work.
  • Review or assist in reviewing documentation and perform quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with program documentation and procedural standards for the assigned project.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of problems associated with automated applications and write detailed specifications for developing or correcting software for handling complex processes to improve system performance and/or accuracy.
  • Report work progress, risks, and issues to manager and leadership.
  • Responsible for ensuring templates and standards are in line with the Department of Informational Resources (DIR).
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures including IT Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that govern TWC IT.
  • Contribute to teamwork and communicate effectively.
  • Promote an image of IT excellence.
  • Maintain a reliable predictable work schedule.
  • May serve as backup to the Manager.
  • May be called upon to work outside of normal business hours to complete urgent assignments or troubleshoot critical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations.
  • YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:

  • Experience as a systems analyst, project manager, or developer and three years of experience implementing SDLC.
  • Experience with auditing methodology.
  • Skills in research and investigations.
  • Knowledge of SDLC (agile, waterfall) principles and practices.
  • Proactive and detail\-oriented; able to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks; and meet deadlines in a fast\-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ALM Octane.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in TWC technology platforms.
  • Experience with TWC IT policies and procedures.
  • Experience in Public Sector delivery.
  • YOU QUALIFY WITH:

  • Systems Analyst IV: Three years of full\-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis and/or program analysis or three years of full\-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.
  • Systems Analyst V: Four years of full\-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis, and/or program analysis or four years of full\-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.
  • Both Levels: Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
