Position Overview:
We are looking for motivated, detail\-oriented entry\-level candidates to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates, individuals with internship or co\-op experience, or anyone eager to start a career in the architectural millwork and custom cabinetry industry. You will receive hands\-on training and mentorship while supporting our Project Managers in delivering high\-quality projects from start to finish.
No extensive experience is required — we value enthusiasm, a strong willingness to learn, and a good attitude!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers with day\-to\-day coordination of millwork and custom cabinetry projects (submittals, approvals, scheduling, and documentation).
- Help review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and project files.
- Assist in maintaining project schedules and tracking budgets.
- Coordinate with internal teams (drafting, production, installation) as well as architects, contractors, and vendors.
- Participate in site visits, job meetings, and project closeouts.
- Learn material procurement, quality standards, and AWI guidelines.
- Provide administrative support to keep projects organized and on track.
- 0–2 years of related experience (internships, co\-op, or any construction/administrative background welcome).
- Recent graduates with a degree (or pursuing) in Construction Management, Architecture, Business, Engineering, or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of construction or woodworking is a plus, but not required — we will provide training.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with project software is a bonus but not necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to occasionally visit job sites in New England.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn the architectural millwork trade.
